Learning Skills has specialized in remedial reading materials for over 25 years. Our current products include Reading Skills Kits for Elementary School and Review Kits for Middle or High School. We are located in Southern California, north of Los Angeles in the city of Chatsworth where we also manufacture audio cards to support our basic reading kits.
Reading Skills Development Kits provide supplemental prescriptive work cards for grades 1 thru 3 and Reading Skills Review Kits provide similar materials at a more mature interest level. This is a fancy way of saying they are boxes of page size cards for students that need extra help learning to read. These kits teach Phonics, Word Structure, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Research and Study Skills. Students work on one card at a time, either on their own, with a student helper or with an adult mentor. Since students have different needs, a single kit can service an entire class.
